1 small can chicken broth A few cups of chopped asparagus 1 onion, chopped 3 T. margarine 4 T. flour 1/2 t. salt pepper to taste 2 1/4 c. milk 1 c. American cheese 1 c. mashed potatoes Simmer chicken broth and asparagus until tender but still crunchy. Saute onion and margarine in saucepan. When tender add flour, salt and pepper to taste.
