1 c. butter, softened 4 eggs, lightly beaten 2 c. all purpose flour 2 c. chopped walnuts 2 c. sugar 1 T. vanilla extract ½ t. salt 2 T. cocoa Frosting: 5 T. flour 1 c. butter, softened 2 t. vanilla 1 c. milk 1 c. confectioner’s sugar Directions In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix well. Fold in walnuts. Spread half of the batter into a greased 13x9 baking pan. Add chocolate to the remaining batter; mix well. Carefully spread over batter in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cakes tests done. Cool completely. For frosting, mix flour and milk in a sauce pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until a thick paste forms, approximately 10 minutes. Cool completely. In a mixing bowl cream butter and confectioners’ sugar. Add vanilla and mix well.
