2 c. water 1 T. butter Bring to a boil. Then add: 1 c. sugar 1 ½ T. Clear Jel, mixed with a little water 1 t. cinnamon 2-3 apples, chopped Let this cool while making dough. Dough: 2/3 c. milk 1 pkg. yeast 1 c. oleo or butter ½ t. salt 3 1/2-4 c. flour 2 eggs, beaten ¼ c. warm water 1 T. sugar Directions Scald milk and add sugar. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add to milk. Stir in eggs. Put flour in large bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in yeast and milk and salt. Divide dough in half. Roll out 1 part. Place on large cookie sheet. Spread with apply filling. Roll out other part and place on top. Crimp edges as you would with pie. Let rise ½ hour. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown. Cook, then frost with your favorite frosting. Pineapple filling variation: ½ c. sugar ¼ t. salt 3 T.
