½ c. shortening
1 c. sugar
½ c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 T. milk
1 ¼ c. flour
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions
Cream together the shortening and sugar; beat in peanut butter, egg and milk. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Roll out dough on lightly-floured waxed paper. Spread with melted chocolate chips, then roll up like a jelly roll. Chill 20-30 minutes (not too long), then slice and bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Yield: 3-4 dozen
