Bottom Layer: 2 c. flour 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. brown sugar Mix well, press in bottom of cake pan. Top Layer: 3 beaten eggs 2 c. brown sugar 2 T. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. nuts 1 c. coconut (optional) Beat together and pour over first layer.
