1 1/4 c. butter
1 3/4 – 2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 t. baking soda
dash of salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar in large bowl. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt; gradually blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 8-9 minutes. Do not over bake! Cookies will be soft. Cool on sheets until set, about 1 minute. Remove to wire cooling rack to cool completely.
