1/2 c. lard
2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 t. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
3 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 1/2 pt. pie filling

Cream together lard, sugar, egg and salt. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Pour half of batter in cake pan; cover with pie filling. Pour on rest of batter
Top with crumbs.

Crumbs:
1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter or lard
