White Cake Sift together into a bowl: 2 1/8 c. flour 4 t. baking powder 1 t. salt 1 1/2 c. sugar Add: 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. + 1 T. milk Beat 2 minutes then add 2/3 c. unbeaten egg whites. Beat for 2 minutes. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
